Brand Identity
When I joined the company, only Alumnet existed—a platform focused on alumni engagement and networking. Over time, the organisation expanded its offerings to include All of Us, a community-building platform emphasising inclusivity and collaboration. This growth necessitated the creation of an umbrella company, Networks for Good (NFG), to unify its products under one cohesive brand. I was tasked with designing the visual identity for NFG, crafting a logo and brand system that would connect its existing products, accommodate future growth, and communicate the organisation’s values of connection, collaboration, and community.
The goal was to create a cohesive and impactful visual identity for Networks for Good (NFG), an umbrella company uniting Alumnet, All of Us, and future products under a single, scalable brand that reflects its mission of fostering connections and building communities.
Create a central identity that links the three distinct products.
Emphasise connection, collaboration, and community-building in the visual identity.
Design a flexible system that could grow with the organisation and its expanding suite of products.
- Conducted stakeholder workshops to understand NFG’s mission and aspirations.
- Analysed existing product identities (Alumnet and All of Us) to identify common themes and opportunities for unification.
- Explored industry trends to ensure the NFG brand stood out in the competitive landscape.
- Focused on themes of connection, collaboration, and growth.
- Created initial sketches exploring geometric shapes, modular elements, and abstract symbols to represent unity.
Successfully positioned NFG as the parent company, visually linking Alumnet and All of Us while accommodating future products.
Developed a modular brand framework that allowed for easy adaptation and expansion as the organisation grew.
The cohesive identity reinforced NFG’s position as a leader in fostering connections and building collaborative communities.
Received positive feedback for the design’s ability to balance professionalism with approachability and scalability.
